The Indianapolis Fire Department has joined with other fire departments across the nation by becoming part of the Neighbors App by Ring. Doing so allows fire departments to share real-time safety updates to Neighbors and connect with residents in a new way.
Fire Chief Gary Ludwig, president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, offered his support for fire departments nationwide joining Neighbors. "The IAFC is committed to advancing the fire service through the use of technology to support our mission of protecting our communities," Ludwig said. "During this time of unique challenges, the IAFC is proud to partner with Ring. Neighbors offers local fire departments another important tool to connect with the communities they serve."
Indianapolis Fire Department’s Chief, Ernest Malone said, "The opportunity for our agency to join and utilize Neighbors will help assist us in our continued mission to keep Indy safe. Neighbors app users in the IFD service district will have a new opportunity to proactively take part in their community's safety and we welcome their participation and feedback."
The national average response time for fire departments is about 15 minutes. Water Mold Fire Restoration of Indianapolis understands that 15 minutes can seem like a lifetime when a home fire breaks out. Anything that can be done to increase fire safety and response could save a life and prevent thousands of dollars of structural damage. We applaud Indy Fire Departments for stepping into the future by joining the Neighbors App program.
WMF of Indianapolis also wants the citizens of Indianapolis to know that we will also respond quickly to any fire emergency. Once the fire is out and fire crews say it is safe to enter a property, we can be onsite to help secure the property and begin planning for the necessary restoration services.
Smoke and ash residues, due to their acid nature, continue to do damage the longer they coat your walls, furniture, and personal possessions. Let us secure your property from Mother Nature and possible vandalism and get you started on the road to recovery as soon as possible. Together we can limit the damage that has and is being done as a result of the fire. Calls us 24/7 at (317) 495-6514.
